About Me
Jason was born in Singapore and completed his Cambridge Mathematics at ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels with distinctions. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics from the National University of Singapore. He attended teacher training and obtained his Diploma in Education. Jason has a Master qualification in Human Resource Management from the Rutgers State University of New Jersey, USA.
He has 18 years of teaching experience. The first 5 years was teaching the Cambridge curricula at a Singapore school. With the other 13 years in New Zealand schools, Jason is very well versed with the NCEA, IB and Cambridge curricula. He has also taught students from Year 7 – 13. Jason was appointed as the Assistant Faculty Head for Mathematics at a prestigious private school in Auckland.
Students have enjoyed Jason as their teacher. He is an inspirational teacher and helps students connect their classroom learning to real life. He is personable and takes time to understand every student. He motivates his students to set clear examination goals and to begin working towards those goals. Jason’s students know the importance of 2 key learning habits for academic success – Begin with the End in Mind and Put First Thing First.
